Matt Conway
Lecturer
Matt Conway is an architect and computational design leader with experience in a range of AEC softwares, technologies, and programming languages. He is also co-founder of HomeMakeLabs, a video game, interactive installation, and visualization studio, as well as Studio Imai Conway.
Conway has been published in Log, Thresholds, ACADIA, Harvard University Graduate School of Design's Platform, and UCLA AUD's POOL. He received a Master of Architecture (MArch) from Harvard University Graduate School of Design. Conway is a licensed architect in California and Texas. He has worked with DLR Group, Gehry Technologies, MAD, Behnisch Architekten, and NBBJ. He is faculty at UCLA Architecture and Urban Design, where he teaches advanced topic studios and technology seminars at the graduate level. His research work focuses on programming literacy, geometric approaches, parametric design, scripting, animation, game engines, digital fabrication, interactive technologies, and augmented reality—building programs, and programming buildings.
